Downtown Chicago is an amazing location an engagement session. This vibrant and bustling city not only offers city views, but the Chicago River also runs through it and makes for beautiful scenery.

Door county Engagement Session

Door County, WI is known as the ‘Cape Cod of the Midwest,’ and for a good reason. Door County is a peninsula surrounded by the clear waters of Lake Michigan. The quaint lakeside towns here make the perfect destination for any photo session.

Door County is one of my go-to recommendations for many of my clients, as the photo opportunities are endless.

We started this session off with an ice cream cone from Wilson’s, which is arguably one of the best ways to start a hot summer evening.

We then headed to the Anderson Dock in Ephraim to use the uniquely graffitied building as our backdrop!

Finally, we finished the session off with champagne to celebrate accompanied by a gorgeous sunset!

Asturias, Spain Beach Session

This past winter, I volunteered abroad in Asturias, Spain, a region in the north. While there, I fell in love with the rugged coastline and the deep blue water. It felt only right to take advantage of the stunning, natural backdrop.

Take a peek at how the coast and its sandy shores were incorporated into this photoshoot!

We had to crack open a bottle of sidra, (alcoholic cider), because when in Spain, duhhh. This is a staple in Asturias, so it only felt right to incorporate it!

And last but not least, GOLDEN HOUR. Two of my favorite words! Right before the sun set, we hurried to this gorgeous look out point for some golden hour views.

Truly a once in a lifetime kinda session; the kind that makes the best travel souvenir to remember such a special place.

Airplane Engagement Session

Do you and your partner love traveling, or is one of you a worker for an airline? If so, I would highly recommend having an airplane inspired engagement session.

I had the honor of capturing this couples engagement session at the airline hangar, and it was quite possibly the COOLEST session I’ve photographed yet.

Not only does the airplane make for a unique background, but it also allows for a wide variety of poses and playfulness in your session.

Anddddd you can do the classic ‘airplane,’ pose right in front of the actual thing. Fitting, right?! But in all seriousness, if you want a next level session, don’t be afraid to ask to incorporate objects or unique backgrounds!
